Our Policies & Procedures

1. Hours of Operation:
During school: 6:00am to 7:00pm (Mon.-Fri.)
Summer Camp: 6:00am to 7:00pm
Teacher’s workday: 6:00am to 7:00pm

2. Late Fees:
If you arrive after the center closes, you are considered late. The late fee is $5.00 for every five minutes that you are late. The fees are due, when you pick up your child. Payment by cash or check is accepted. If you know you are late, please be prepared to pay your late charges.

3. Tuition fees are as follows:
Before school: $20.00 per week
After school: $50.00 per week
Preschool: $85.00 per week (as of August 2008)
Summer Camp: $60.00 per week

Tuition fees are due every Monday or the first day of service. Tuition is due, whether the child is absent or school is closed. If you pay bi-weekly, tuition is due before service is rendered. THESE ARE THE ONLY TWO PAYMENT OPTIONS.

4. Annual Registration Fee
There is an annual registration fee of $35.00. The fee must be paid at Summer Camp registration or the first day of school.

5. Payments:
The center will accept cash, money order or checks to pay for tuition. Late payments will be assessed a $5.00 per day late fee, unless payment arrangements are made with the center’s director.

If you prepay, and withdraw your child from the program without a two weeks
notice, no refund will be allowed.

6. Returned Checks:
Returned checks will receive a $35.00 processing fee. After the second returned check, only cash will be accepted.

7. Withdrawal:
Parents are required to give two weeks advanced notice if a child is to be permanently withdrawn from the center or two weeks tuition, if notice is not given. Parents will receive two weeks notice, if the center cannot provide service for your child.

8. Holidays:
The center is closed during the following school holidays:
– New Year's Eve
– New Year’s Day
– Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday
– Memorial Day
– Fourth of July
– Labor Day
– Thanksgiving Day (and the day after)
– Chrishtmas Eve
– Christmas Day

If there are any changes to the above holidays listed, you will be notified by the center.

9. Parental Responsibility:
Sick children will not be allowed to remain in the center. Parents will be called immediately and should advise the staff on the necessary actions to take. We will assist you, as much as possible.

10. Health Notification:
You will be notified immediately, should a communicable disease, i.e. pink eye, is introduced in the center. We request that you notify the center immediately, if your child contracts a communicable disease. Children, with communicable diseases, are not allowed to attend the center.

11. Child Illness:
Your child will not be accepted or allowed in the center, if he/she has a temperature of 101 degrees or higher, and/or any other contagious symptoms, such as, but not limited to a rash, diarrhea or sore throat. Should these conditions occur; the center will contact you, as well as require you to pick up your child within one hour.

12. Medical Release Form:
A medical release form is required for the center to administer medicine(s) to your child. The medication must adhere to the following criteria: prescribed by a doctor and have its original prescription label from the pharmacy. We will not give your child over the counter medication.

13. Personal Belongings:
Toys and other personal belongings are not allowed in the center. The center will not be held responsible for items brought, without the center director’s knowledge.

14. Food and Snacks:
The center will provide breakfast during Summer Camp which will be served at 7:00am and lunch which will be served at 11:00am. During our after school program, snacks will be served at 3:00pm. Children may bring additional snacks, if they choose.

15. Child Pickup Authorization:
Only the custodial parent(s) will have access to areas of the center. He/she must make the center’s director aware of his/her presence, prior to removing the child from the premises. If another individual is authorized to pick up your child, please inform the director. Also, inform the authorized individual that identification is required to pick up the child.

16. Program Termination:
It is the center’s goal to accept children who will prosper from the experiences of the center. If it is determined that your child is not benefiting from the program, you will be notified in writing and asked to make other arrangements for your child.

17. Inappropriate Behavior:
Smoking, alcoholic beverages, drug use and profanity are not allowed in or on the premises of the center.

18. Library Items:
Books, as well as educational compact discs, are available for you to check out. However, if the items are lost or damaged, it is your responsibility to replace the lost or damaged item.

19. Supplies:
All students are responsible for their own school supplies. Please ensure that your child has the necessary materials to complete daily work and/or homework.

20. Tornado Drills:
Every child will participate in fire and tornado drills. The drills are held each month.
